Track Training

Last night I went to my first track session, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this having never been to one before but was keen to give it a go and see what it was all about. Walking on to the track I was surprised at how much bigger and longer one loop is than I thought, there were about 10 of us from club and it actually made me feel a bit like an athlete. No, there isn’t any scenery to look at or muddy puddles to wade through (which as we’ve discovered I love) but I had my lane and there was nothing else to think about other than running – no traffic, curbs or dips – I could just concentrate on my running and keeping an eye on that person in front of me who I couldn’t catch, I’ll keep trying tho 😉. I got home feeling knackered and buzzing all in one. I did miss the pub though.
